# Health & Wellness Category Events (Deprecated)

> Deprecated January 2026. Reference for the legacy UPSTACK_HW_* custom events that Health & Wellness stores sent to Meta in place of standard events.

  **Deprecated as of January 2026.** The Health & Wellness category events should not be used for new or existing setups. Use a clean pixel with domain aliasing and optimize on the standard Purchase event instead. The mappings are kept here for reference only — for example, to identify `UPSTACK_HW_*` events in older pixels and historical reports.

## What replaced them

Health & Wellness stores now send **standard events** — `purchase`, `add_to_cart`, `initiate_checkout` and the rest of the [standard events](/event-tracking/event-taxonomy/standard-events) — to a **clean Meta pixel** through **domain aliasing**, server-side only, with product data sanitized. Campaigns optimize on the **standard Purchase event**. Nothing needs approving in Meta Events Manager.

Do not recreate these names with [global](/guides/custom-events/global-event-mappings) or [destination](/guides/custom-events/destination-event-mappings) event mappings.

## Legacy event names (reference only)

Before January 2026, the Health & Wellness container renamed Meta standard events to the custom names below. You may still see them in older pixels, custom conversions, saved column presets and historical reports.

## Moving off the legacy events

If a campaign still optimizes on a `UPSTACK_HW_*` event, move it to the standard Purchase event on your clean pixel, then update any custom conversions and Ads Manager column presets that reference the old names.
