# How to Migrate Your Billing from Shopify to Upstack Data

> A step-by-step guide for transitioning your subscription billing from the Shopify App Store to Upstack Data's direct platform billing.

<Tip>
  * **Uninstall** the Upstack Data app from your [Shopify Admin](https://admin.shopify.com).
  * **Log out** of [Upstack Data](https://app.upstackdata.com), then **log back in**.
  * Complete your credit card **billing information** in Stripe.
  * In the [Upstack dashboard](https://app.upstackdata.com), go to **Data Integrations → Shopify** and **reconnect your store**.
</Tip>

## Overview

Upstack Data is migrating all customers from Shopify App Store billing to direct credit card billing through Stripe. This gives us better control over plan management, pricing adjustments, and seasonal plan upgrades — things that Shopify's billing system restricts.

The process takes about 10 minutes and does not affect your tracking, integrations, or data.

## Prerequisites

Make sure you have the following ready before starting the migration:

* [Shopify Admin](https://admin.shopify.com) access with permission to manage apps

* Your [Upstack Data](https://app.upstackdata.com/login) login credentials (email and password) and access to the email inbox associated with the account

* A credit card for the new Stripe billing

<Tip>
  If you do not remember your Upstack Data login credentials, use the password reset option before starting, or reach out to support. The login uses an email verification code (OTP), so have access to your email inbox as well.
</Tip>

## Migration steps

## Frequently asked questions

#### Will I lose any tracking data during the migration?

<Note>
  No. Your tracking configuration, pixel setup, and all integrations are preserved. The uninstall/reinstall process only affects the Shopify billing connection, not your Upstack Data account or tracking scripts.
</Note>

#### Do I need to redo my pixel setup, Klaviyo integration, or other configurations?

<Note>
  No. Everything carries over. Once you reinstall the app and log in, your existing setup will be intact.
</Note>

#### What if I have multiple stores?

<Note>
  Each store is migrated individually. You will need to repeat this process for each store at a separate time. Each store has its own subscription and billing.
</Note>

#### Can I change my plan during the migration?

<Note>
  Yes. This is a good opportunity to right-size your plan based on current order volume.
