What is a Facebook Ads Pixel (Dataset) ID?

Your Facebook Pixel (Dataset) ID is a 15–16 digit number Upstack Data uses to send conversion data to your Facebook (Meta) ad account.


Steps to Find Your Facebook Ads Pixel ID

Step 1: Sign in to Facebook Business Events Manager


Step 2: Find or Create Your Pixel

If you have a pixel: You'll see it listed in Events Manager, then proceed to Step 3.

If you need to create one:

  • Click the green "Connect Data Sources" button

  • Select "Web"

  • Click "Next" or "Get Started"

  • Follow the instructions to create a new Facebook Pixel


Step 3: Open Your Pixel

  • Once you have a Pixel, click on its name in the list. You'll be taken to the Pixel's overview page.


Step 4: Locate Your Pixel ID

  • On the Pixel overview page, navigate to Facebook Pixel Settings by clicking the "Settings" tab.

  • On the "Settings" tab, locate "Dataset ID". It's a 15-16 digit number.

Example format: 1234567890123456


Step 5: Copy and Add to Upstack Data

  • Copy your Facebook Ads Pixel (Dataset) ID and paste it into Upstack Data Facebook Ads Pixel Destination Setup.

Tip: Ensure no extra spaces before or after the ID.


Step 6: Save Configuration

  • Click Create Configuration to save the configuration.
