TikTok Searches Value is the total value carried by the website Search events TikTok attributes to your ads. It’s TikTok’s “Search value (page)” figure, imported into Upstack.

Formula

TikTok Searches Value = SUM ( total_page_event_search_value ) for the selected TikTok accounts, campaigns, ad groups, or ads

How it works

  1. A visitor searches your site and a Search event reaches TikTok, with or without a value.
  2. TikTok decides whether to credit that search to one of your ads and adds the event’s value to the ad’s search value.
  3. Upstack imports total_page_event_search_value with each day’s TikTok performance data and converts it to your reporting currency at that day’s rate.
  4. The metric sums the converted values for your filters and dates.
Only TikTok’s website (page event) search value is imported. Upstack doesn’t add app or offline search values.

Worked example

A sporting-goods store sends the price of the first product in the search results as the value. In one month: The 126,000 isn’t revenue. It’s the sum of top-result prices across 1,300 searches. Read per ad group, it shows that running-shoe visitors search for items priced near 120 while yoga visitors look around 45. That’s useful for picking which products to feature in each ad group’s landing page.

How to interpret it

  • Zero value with searches above zero means your Search events reach TikTok without a value. The count is still correct in TikTok Searches.
  • Use the average (this metric ÷ TikTok Searches) when your value is a product price. The total grows with volume and says little on its own.
  • Keep it out of ROAS. Summing it with purchase value double-counts intent that may or may not turn into orders.
  • Watch for setup changes. If the value logic on your site changes, the series shifts without any change in shopper behavior.

Why it can differ from TikTok Ads Manager

  • Upstack converts the value into your reporting currency, which can differ from the ad account’s currency.
  • Upstack imports whatever TikTok’s reporting API returns and doesn’t request a specific attribution window.
  • Only connected TikTok ad accounts are included.

FAQ

Search events are reaching TikTok without a value. TikTok can still count the searches, but there’s nothing to add up.
Use something you’d be glad to compare across campaigns, such as the top result’s price. A flat amount per search adds no information beyond the count.
No. It’s the sum of values you attached to search events. Use TikTok Purchases Value or Upstack’s order metrics for revenue.
