Formula
Blended Searches Value = Meta search value + TikTok Searches Value
How it works
When a visitor searches your site, a Search event can be sent to Meta and TikTok. If the event carries a value, each platform totals the values for the searches it attributes to its ads. Upstack imports those totals:
Google Ads doesn’t contribute. Upstack doesn’t import a per-action search value from Google.
Values from accounts in different currencies are converted to your reporting currency at each day’s rate before they’re added.
Why the value is often zero
Search events don’t always carry a value. When one arrives without a value, Blended Searches counts the search but this metric adds nothing for it. A zero here next to a non-zero search count means the events have no value attached. It’s not a sync problem. Some teams do attach a value, for example the price of the top result or a flat amount per search. The metric is only as meaningful as that choice.Worked example
A home-goods store sends the price of the first product in the results as the search value. In one week:
The total is large because each search carries a product price, but no money changed hands. What the table does show is that TikTok visitors searched for cheaper items: 32 per search against Meta’s 46. That’s a merchandising signal for TikTok landing pages, not a revenue figure.
How to interpret it
- Never add it to revenue or ROAS. It’s a value you chose to send, and every search is counted, including repeat searches by the same person.
- Use the average more than the total. Value ÷ count tells you what price range ad visitors look for, if your value is a product price.
- Watch for definition changes. If the value logic on your site changes, the series breaks even though shopper behavior didn’t.

Does Google Ads report search value?

Not in Upstack. Google rows don’t carry a per-action search value, so this metric covers Meta and TikTok only.
Can I compare search value with spend?
Can I compare search value with spend?
You can, but the ratio only reflects the value you assigned. Blended Cost per Search is usually the more useful efficiency check.
