How much you spend on average for each video view that lasted at least 30 seconds. Meta is the only platform that reports 30-second views, so only Meta spend counts.

Formula

Blended Cost per 30s View = Meta Spend ÷ Blended 30-Second Video Views

Formula Components

Example

Your video campaigns ran on all three platforms this month: Dividing Blended Spend ($18,000) by Meta’s 100,000 views would give $0.18. Google and TikTok video budgets would make Meta’s views look nearly twice as expensive.

How It Works

Upstack divides Meta spend by the 30-second video views Meta reports. Google Ads and TikTok don’t report 30-second views, so their spend is left out. In the app the formula reads Meta Spend ÷ 30-Second Video Views. The 30-second threshold filters out quick scrolls, so this metric tracks the cost of viewers who stayed.
