Blended New Customer CPA measures how much you spend on average to acquire each new customer through your ads. Meta is the only platform that reports new customer purchases, so only Meta spend counts.

Formula

Blended New Customer CPA = Meta Spend ÷ Blended New Customer Purchases

Formula Components

Example

Your store ran ads on all three platforms last month: Dividing Blended Spend ($12,000) by Meta’s 80 new customers would give $150.00, double what Meta actually spent per new customer.

How It Works

Upstack divides Meta spend by the new customer purchases Meta reports. Google Ads and TikTok don’t report a new customer purchase count, so their spend is left out. In the app the formula reads Meta Spend ÷ New Customer Purchases. For a cost per new customer that uses all ad spend and your store’s own orders, use the New Customer CPA order measure, which divides total ad spend by new customer orders.
