Upgrade when your store needs more monthly orders or a feature from a larger plan. Plans are priced on monthly orders: orders above your plan’s included orders are billed at the plan’s overage rate at the end of the billing period. To move to a smaller plan or change your billing cycle, see How to switch plans. Not sure how you’re billed? See How do I identify my billing method?.

Upgrade a card-billed plan

1

Open Billing

In the Upstack dashboard, go to Settings → Billing and open the Overview tab.
2

Choose what to upgrade

  • More monthly orders: click Change order limit, move the Monthly Orders slider, and click Continue. For the highest volumes, click Request a Quote.
  • Add a product: in the Available section, click Upgrade or Add on the product’s card.
  • A larger plan: click Change or remove products. On Change Your Plan, set the Monthly Orders slider and the Monthly / Yearly toggle, then click Upgrade on the plan you want.
3

Confirm what changes

If the plan is marked REVIEW REQUIRED, a Confirm plan change dialog lists what You’ll gain and You’ll lose. Click Switch to the new plan to continue.
4

Review and confirm

On Review Your Plan Change, check the Current Plan and New Plan, the Billing Cycle, Orders Included, and Overage Rate. Click Change Plan.
5

Done

You’ll see Plan Changed Successfully. The new plan takes effect immediately, your card on file is used, and the price difference for the rest of the billing period is prorated.
When you open a feature your plan doesn’t include, click Upgrade Plan on the prompt to go straight to Change Your Plan.

Upgrade a Shopify-billed plan

1

Open Billing

Go to Settings → Billing and click Change Plan on the Overview tab.
2

Keep your Shopify plans

In the dialog that opens, click Stay on legacy Shopify plans.
3

Pick a plan

On Change Your Plan, click Upgrade on the plan you want.
4

Review and confirm

On Review Your Plan Change, check the plans — both are listed as Billed through Shopify — and click Change Plan.
5

Approve in Shopify

Approve the new charge in Shopify. You’re returned to Upstack, which shows Completing Subscription… and then takes you back to Billing. The new plan applies once Shopify approves the charge.
For Shopify-billed accounts, start plan changes from Settings → Billing → Change Plan rather than the Upgrade Plan prompts on locked features.

If the change doesn’t go through

Plans can’t be changed while an invoice is unpaid. Pay the balance first — see How do I update my payment method? — then try again.
That change isn’t available from your current plan. Hover over the button to see why, or contact support@upstackdata.com.
Click Try Again. If it still fails, contact support@upstackdata.com with your store URL.
A cancelled account can’t change plans. Contact support@upstackdata.com.
