Why does this happen?
Upstack shows dates, times, and daily totals in the Timezone saved in Business Details. It doesn’t use your browser’s timezone or read it from Shopify each time. If the account timezone is America/New_York while your store runs on another timezone, the dashboard shows US Eastern time. Under the Timezone field, Detected from Shopify shows your store’s timezone, so you can compare the two.How do I set my account timezone?
You need to be an owner or admin of the Upstack account.- Open your workspace menu and click Settings, or go to app.upstackdata.com/account/settings/account.
- Under Workspace, click Business Details.
- In the Regional section, open Timezone and choose your store’s timezone, for example Europe/Amsterdam. You can search by city.
- Click Save.
Does it change past days?
Yes. Upstack stores events in UTC and groups them into days when you view a report, so earlier days are regrouped in the new timezone straight away. Nothing is lost or re-collected. After the change, daily Purchase and revenue totals use the same day boundaries as Shopify. They can still differ for other reasons; see Why Are Upstack Purchase Events Higher Than Shopify Orders? Why do some screens still show UTC?
A few views show times that don’t follow the account timezone:- The Event Debugger shows each event’s raw timestamp in UTC.
- The small trend charts in the Events Manager event list group events by UTC day.
- Some event lists show times in your browser’s timezone.
