How to Install Upstack Data Pixel Helper
Upstack Data Pixel Helper is a Chrome extension that lets you validate and monitor pixel events in real time as they fire on your website. This guide walks you through finding, installing, and verifying the extension in your browser.Prerequisites
- Google Chrome (or a Chromium-based browser that supports Chrome Web Store extensions)
- Permission to install Chrome extensions on your machine
- The Upstack Data pixel installed on at least one website you can test against
What is Pixel Helper?
Pixel Helper is a Chrome extension developed by Upstack Data that displays all pixel events firing on a page in real time. It helps you:- Verify that tracking pixels are firing correctly
- Check event values and parameters
- Identify duplicate or missing events
- Self-diagnose tracking issues without contacting support
- Monitor Click ID capture and other critical data points
Find Upstack Data Pixel Helper in the Chrome Web Store
Upstack Data Pixel Helper is published in the Chrome Web Store under the Upstack Data publisher. To find it:- Open Google Chrome.
- Go to the Chrome Web Store.
- Search for Upstack Data Pixel Helper.
- Confirm the extension is published by Upstack Data.

Install the extension
Once you’ve located Upstack Data Pixel Helper:- Click Add to Chrome.
- A confirmation dialog appears asking for permissions.
- Click Add extension to confirm.
- Wait for the installation to complete.
Pin the extension to your toolbar
For easy access, pin Pixel Helper to your Chrome toolbar:- Click the Extensions icon (puzzle piece) in the top-right of the Chrome window.
- Find Upstack Data Pixel Helper in the list.
- Click the pin icon next to it.
- The Pixel Helper icon now appears in your toolbar.
Verify the installation
To confirm Pixel Helper is working correctly:- Visit a website that has the Upstack Data pixel installed (typically your store).
- Click the Upstack Data Pixel Helper icon in your Chrome toolbar.
- The extension panel should open and show a list of events, real-time monitoring, and event details and parameters.
