Blended Cost per Application measures how much you spend on average to drive each application submission through your ads. Meta is the only platform that reports application submissions, so only Meta spend counts.

Formula

Blended Cost per Application = Meta Spend ÷ Blended Application Submissions

Formula Components

Example

Your recruitment campaign ran on Meta and Google Ads last month: Dividing Blended Spend ($12,000) by the same 480 applications would give $25.00 and charge Meta’s applicants for the Google budget. Compare $18.75 with your target cost per applicant.

How It Works

Upstack divides Meta spend by the application submissions Meta reports. Google Ads and TikTok don’t report application submissions, so their spend is left out. In the app the formula reads Meta Spend ÷ Application Submissions.
