Blended Cost per Subscription measures how much you spend to get one subscription sign-up. Meta and TikTok are the platforms that report subscriptions, so only their spend counts.

Formula

Blended Cost per Subscription = ( Meta Spend + TikTok Spend ) ÷ Blended Subscriptions

Formula Components

Example

A coffee subscription brand ran ads on all three platforms last month: Dividing Blended Spend ($21,500) by the same 500 subscriptions would give $43.00, charging Google’s budget to sign-ups it didn’t report.

How It Works

Upstack adds Meta and TikTok spend and divides by the subscriptions those two platforms report. Google Ads doesn’t report a subscription count, so its spend is left out. In the app the formula reads Meta + TikTok Spend ÷ Subscriptions. Lower values mean cheaper subscriber acquisition. If you run Google Ads, this metric won’t equal Blended Spend ÷ Blended Subscriptions. See Blended subscription metrics for where the counts come from.
